Why Choose A Celebrant?
A Civil Celebrant will enable you to have a tailor made ceremony, where you want, how you want it and with the words you want, whether traditional or modern, music, poetry, hymns and prayers or no religious content at all. A celebrant will ensure your ceremony is all you want, with your words reflecting the love your loved one deserves.
We are different from Humanist (atheist) as we can offer the whole spectrum of faith, belief and no faith. You can mix songs, readings and even hymns if required, to respect your beliefs, wishes and desires.
I will meet with you and learn what you want for your ceremony and your loved one, your words, your memories. Every service is uniquely written and delivered with love and compassion, individual to you, to give you the very best ceremony.
My name is Alison and I live with my husband Fred in Kirkmichael village. We have both lived in Ayrshire our whole lives as do our children and families.
I was trained as a Celebrant by Neil Dorward and Annie Scrimgeour, Celebrant Training Scotland, Neil being the first Scottish Civil Funeral Celebrant. I gained a Merit Pass and certificate of Training in Funeral Celebrancy.
Being a paramedic in Ayrshire area since 2004, I am aware of families grief and have seen families at their lowest point and I will strife to make ceremonies an honest, loving, representation of your loved one and find it a privilege to be given the honour to do so.
I am happy to travel and meet in your home and discuss all your needs.
Your ceremony celebrated as you wish.
